VCP Proposes 1 Million tpy Pulp Mill in Brazil

Votorantim Celulose e Papel(VCP) said that it is in the begin-ing stages of talks with community leaders and the environmental licensing process for the construction of a bleached eucalyptus pulp mill in Rio Grande do Sul,the southernmost state in Brazil.If everything goes as planned,the project would cover an area of about 450 to 500 hectares,located in the region of Rio Grande-Pelotas-Arroio Grande.
