Sappi to switch PM2 output to packaging paper

South African group Sappi is to invest in the rebuild of PM2 at its Alfeld Mill in Germany. As part of a EUR61m spend, the unit will be upgraded to produce one-side coated and machine glazed bleached kraft speciality grades. It is to be converted from the production of coated woodfree papers with PM2 becoming the world’s biggest unit producing these packaging papers.
