UPM prepares for 2012 downtime

Forest products group UPM is preparing for downtime at several of its paper mills in Finland and has started negotiations regarding possible temporary layoffs in 2012. The move affects the Rauma, Kymi, Kaukas, Kaipola, Jamsankoski and Tervasaari plants and is in preparation that financial and market-related uncertainty might lead to weakened demand.
