Four major U.S.producers of uncoated recycled paperboard(URB)in February announced price increases of 40-50 for their products and implemented the new pricing the first week in March.The cuplprit? The growing cost for recovered paper.Rock-Tenn,The Newark Group,Caraustar and Sonoco all blamed higher costs of recovered paper as the primary factor for the price hikes,although other drivers did play a factor.
