Georgia-Pacific Corp. in early October announced a cost reduction program involving its North American consumer products business, as well as its international consumer products business.In North America, the program includes the idling of up to four tissue paper machines, with a combined capacity of 140,000 tons, and approximately 70 converting lines, as well as reducing its workforce by 850 positions.
