The Enderby Park & Ride picked up the awards for best new car park and the marketing trophy. The Enderby Park & Ride scheme is a joint venture between Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council. The 1,000-space facility cost ￡9.2m to create and aims to set a new standard for sustainable and environmental best practice for the design and construction of park & ride schemes. The service is designed to help mitigate against the increase in traffic arising from the economic growth of Leicester whilst helping to manage congestion on the Narborough Road from the M1/M69 junction to the city centre.
