Macclesfield Borough Council's planned maintenance approach to its buildings led to its 1980s-vintage Jordangate multi-storey car park being repaired and refurbished The Jordangate multi-storey is a five-storey structure built in the mid-1980s following a major review of parking management by Macclesfield Borough Council, Cheshire. The car park has 337 spaces, 14 of which are allocated as disabled bays. The car park is located close to Macclesfield's library and town hall. It operates on a pay & display basis. Macclesfield Borough Council took over responsibility for enforcement in May 2008, and now deploys civil enforcement officers who can issue penalty charge notices rather than fixed penalties.
