HUL Mumbai campys receives LEED India Gold Certification

HINDUSTAN Unilever Limited's (HUL) corporate campus in Andheri, Mumbai, has received certification of LEED India Gold in 'New Construction' category, by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Hyderabad, under license from the USGBC (United States Green Building Council).This is a significant recognition of the 'Green Building' credentials of the HUL corporate campus as the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification is based on a global rating system of USGBC. Under 'New Construction' (NC) category, HUL corporate campus has the distinction of being the only building to receive the prestigious 'Gold' rating in Mumbai for the year 2011. So far only 11 buildings in Mumbai have received LEED ratings under the 'NC category, since the inception of the certification in the year 2002 in India.
