Gyanendra Shukla appointed MD of Monsanto India

AGRICULTURE biotechnology major Monsanto India Ltd (MIL) announced the appointment of Gyanendra Shukla as the new Managing Director effective from March 1,2013. Shukla, a veteran in the agriculture sector who has worked in India and the Asia-Pacific region, will replace Amitabh Jaipuria, Monsanto said in a statement. Shukla has worked in companies such as Syngenta and Bayer CropScience in technology development roles focusing on development of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides.
