Charting a route into the future of parking: The connected car and smarter parking were key areas of debate at Parking World

Around a decade from now people will be driving cars that will be able to seek out and book parking slots both on-street and in car parks via the internet. It will also become increasingly common for these smarter cars to be used on a communal basis as and when people need them. These were just some of the ideas that were shared at last month's Parking World event, staged at the Kia Oval by Parking Review and Landor LINKS. The day-long seminar and exhibition was attended by over 200 parking professionals who discussed themes such as the 'connected car', 'smart parking', community car parks and ANPR enforcement.
