DESCRIPTION OF TYLENCHOLAIMUS CYNODONTI N. SP. WITH OBSERVATION ON FOUR KNOWN SPECIES (NEMATODA: DORYLAIMIDA) FROM PAKISTAN

A new and four known species of soil nematodes from Pakistan are described and illustrated, Tylencholaimus cynodonti n. sp., is characterized by its small size (L=0.55-0.69 mm), lip region marked off from the adjacent body by a constriction, 6.4 -7.2μm long odontostyle. odontophore shorter than lip region width, slender part of pharynx expand abruptly, pharyngeal bulb 70-78 μm long, female genital system amphidelphic, V=59-63.6 %. large cells present in the vaginal region, tail 16-20 μm long, bluntly conoid to hemispheroid and males absent. Doryllium minor Jairajpuri, 1963; Dorylaimoides parateres Siddiqi, 1964, Thornenema mauritianurn (Williams, 1959) Baqri & Jairajpuri, 1967 and Latocephalus srnithi (Heyns, 1963) Patil & Khan, 1982 are reported for the first time from Pakistan.
