摘要

USING the right troubleshooting technique to rectify faults at the earliest can reduce losses to a great extent.The impact of electronic technique, principally solid state concepts and devices, computing and information systems and practices, on instrument technology has been dramatic. Advancements in electronics and data-handling have not been confined to just a few areas of instrumentation. The enormous progress has permeated the whole structure, from sensors through measuring systems, transmission and telemetry systems, display controllers and final control elements. The performance of a process control system is dependent upon the effectiveness of information processing in process devices and controllers. Signals represent the result of actions, and these are measured and registered at different points. Data is formed as based on the signal processing part of the process control system. Thus, information content, data acquisition, data processing and process control execution are highly influenced by signals.
