Pyrdue University Honours Dr. S. Sivaram, with a D.Sc..(h.c.) Degree

DR. S. Sivaram, Director, National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune received a D.Sc.(h.c) degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA on May 16,2010 in the Commencement Ceremonies held at the University Campus. The honorary degree is the highest award Purdue can offer and recognizes distinguished service to the profession and great achievements in career and life. Selected after intense scrutiny and approved by the Board of Trustees, Purdue honorary degree recipients constitute one of the most eminent groups in the world. The award of the D.Sc. degree to Dr. Sivaram was in recognition of his extraordinary achievements in polymer chemistry and bringing global recognition to India for its preeminence in polymer science and technology development. Dr. Sivaram is the twenty third recipient of the honorary degree from the Department of Chemistry, Purdue University and the second Indian to have received this coveted honor.
