TRANSFER of fluids from one place to another place or from one pressure level to another pressure level is a major kind of activity in almost all processing industries such as sugar industries, paper industries, chemical industries, pharmaceutical industries, distillation (distilleries) industries, refining (refineries) industries etc. Specifically, this is quite true for water supply installations, sewage plants and effluent treatment plants as well. Transfer of such fluids is always done by different class of pumps either of ordinary category or other category. These equipments make use of major percentage of the installed power in such plants.
