The Able disabled - Playing a Full role in Society

While they were looked upon as "people to be protected," persons with disabilities tended to be inconspicuous. But today there are already many disabled who have broken out of their shells and are playing active roles in society. Presented here are disabled persons with particularly strong individuality. The existence of such people has been, on the one hand, an inspiration to others with disabilities, and on the other, a force for changing the general population's attitude toward the disabled. People with disabilities and those without are entering an era of "coexistence" in the true sense of the word.
