Arcelor-Mittal steel's presence in the wind energy sector worldwide is growing, contributing to the generation of clean and sustainable energy. Driven by the current boom in this sector, Arcelor-Mittars factory in Gijon (As-turias, Spain) plans to produce 200000 t of plate for wind generator towers this year - nearly 30 percent of the total forecasted steel consumption of this sector in Europe.
