Japanese rarely married non-Japarifcse until about three decades ago. It was generally thought that the language barrier, and different cultures and customs would create major problems. But the situation is changing. "International marriages" are increasing fast, indicating that the fears held in the past were needless. Let's see here the examples of three residents in the city of Yokohama from China, Thailand and Britain who are married to Japanese.
