Halibut situation - high prices hope for stock upturn

Halibut optimism: The Pacific halibut stock appears to be rising from the ashes, and that bodes well for catches in some fishing regions this year. It would turn the tide of a long decline that has caused halibut catches to be slashed by about 70 percent.The International Pacific Halibut Commission was scheduled to make 2015 catch limit decisions at its Jan. 26-30 annual meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia.
