摘要

The "convenience store" — konbini for short in Japanese—is, as the name indicates, a retail store that offers convenience to its customers. In addition to such fast food items as bento — the Japanese box lunch — and sandwiches, konbini also sell miscellaneous goods used in daily life, as well as magazines, newspapers, and even video games and movie tickets. At a konbini, you can get anything you want, day or night, around the clock. Today konbini are an indispensable part of Japanese life.
