California crab fleet edges closer to pot limits

Much has changed in the crab fishery since guys like Sonny Maahs and Charlie White started in the late '50s and early '60s. They both arrived in Fort Bragg young, with their families, from San Francisco and Stockton, put in time with the Merchant Marines (Sonny) and the military (Charlie), then worked jobs in the logging industry before they both finally got to fish, like they'd been trying to do all along.
