摘要

Cold wars? Tensions between Russia and the West have been running high ever since troops entered Ukraine this winter. The international community has responded with heavy economic sanctions — and on Aug. 7, Russia hit back with a one-year embargo onfood imports from some of its biggest trade partners. The United States, the European Union, Norway, and Australia were all affected. When the ban came down, UniSea had 10 containers of raw pollock surimi on the water, bound for Russia. Since then, UniSea Vice President Tom Enlow said, they've been scrambling to find a buyer in Asia who has a sudden craving for surimi — and some way to get it there.
