Klamath finally gets cooling water, marijuana takes its toll

'Fear and uncertainty': As the waters of the Klamath River approached the fish-threatening 70-degree mark near the end of August, a federal judge made a decision that was celebrated throughout California's North Coast and decried in its farm-rich Central Valley. The decision was to allow the release of water from the Trinity Reservoir into the Trinity River, the Klamath River's largest tributary. Many believe that the water release prevented another fish kill like the infamous one seen in the Klamath in 2002.
