Here is a partial chronolooy of the sinking of the Alaska Ranger from the Coast Guard Marine Board of Investigation. When the general alarm sounded, the majority of the crew members were in their rooms or in the galley. Several crew members went roomto room and woke up their shipmates and alerted them to the situation. At least one crew member who was awakened acknowledged having the alarm and falling back to sleep.
