Some UFA members consider suit after eavesdropping

No charges in UFA case: Without waiting for an Alaska Troopers' investigation, the state's chief prosecutor decided no criminal charges will be filed in response to a complaint from the United Fishermen of Alaska. Lawsuits remain a possibility. Shortly after a Jan. 17 board of directors' teleconference, the UFA complained that someone had surreptitiously listened to the session. According to the complaint, the meeting was listened to on a phone line at the Soldotna offices of the Kenai River Sportfishing Association.
