The Alaska Supreme Court decided to delay — again! — an $82 million fishermen lawsuit that's been dragging on for more than a quarter century. The court heard the latest round of the "Carlson Case" in June 2010, granting "expedited" consideration. At least one draft ruling was circulated in November. But wait! Only a few weeks ago, the court decided it needed even more information from attorneys. The deadline for attorneys from both sides to submit briefs is May 23. Oral arguments could follow. How much longer this latest delay will last was up in the air.
