Berger Paints net climbs 23%

BACKED by a healthy growth in sales, Berger Paints India Ltd posted about 23 per cent growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 49 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, againstRs 40 crore during corresponding quarter last year. Net sales climbed 22 per cent to Rs 720 crore (Rs 590 crore). On a sequential basis, the net profit rose by 32 per cent from Rs 37 crore during the quarter ended June 30. Other income grew by 29 per cent at Rs 9 crore (Rs 7 crore).
