I have only been overboard once in my life. It happened when I was about 10 years old, one early summer in Squalicum Harbor in Bellingham, Washington. I went in the drink, with a life jacket on, next to my dad's bowpicker Inspiration, which was tied up in the slip.Like all overboard occurrences, it happened very quickly, and fortunately there was someone nearby to pull me out of the water expeditiously.
