Since opening its doors in 1946, Marquette Wallpaper and Paint has become the oldest independent paint store in Marquette, Mich. Brothers Darryl and Mark Hamari purchased the store in 2002 from the original owners, Stella and Richard White. The Hamari brothers weren't newcomers to the industry; Darryl had been working at the store for more than 30 years, and Mark, who had been employed there during high school, had returned to the store five years prior. Located in the heart of historic Marquette, the store is a trusted provider of painting and decorating needs, including Benjamin Moore paints and Sikkens wood finishes, as well as window treatments and basic hardware.
