For retailers who endured a tough year in 2009, just remember: Time is on your side. In the exterior stain and deck care market, time is a killer of unprotected wood. For customers who have put off maintaining their deck or other outdoor surfaces for economic reasons, there is now a sense of urgency to improve those surfaces or risk damage to the wood. That is one of the reasons that the industry is expecting improvement for 2010.
