Researchers in Germany say they've developed a foam material made from ground wood particles that is an effective replacement for current synthetic foam insulations. The scientists claim their new wood foam is more environmentally sustainable than die foam currendy used to insulate buildings. The Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research, based in Braunschweig, German), made the announcement on March 4.
