PPG Touts New Products, Initiatives

In a press conference in late May, global coatings and glass company PPG announced new products and initiatives. Representatives of the company announced that the PPG logo will now appear on many of the company's consumer products in an effort to lessen confusion among customers. PPG's coatings brands include Glidden, Johnstone's, Leyland, Olympic, PPG Pittsburgh and PPG Porter. The logo will offer "a unique point of difference, an endorsement," according to Max Wetzel, chief marketing officer and general manager of the PPG Paints stores.
