New Protections for Construction Workers

Construction workers in the United States who labor in confined spaces will have new protections as of August 3. Construction-industry employers face new requirements following the May 4 release of the Occupational Safety and Health Adrninistration's comprehensive final rule governing confined spaces in construction. The rule goes into effect August 3,2015.
