Hunter Douglas Gives $200,000

Hunter Douglas, a manufacturer and marketer of window fashions, recently announced that it donated $200,000 in December to the International Rescue Committee, a global humanitarian organization. The donation was for victims of Typhoon Haiyan, the powerful cyclone that tore through Southeast Asia on Nov. 8, 2013. The storm was especially destructive in the central Philippines. Hunter Douglas made an initial donation to the IRC of $50,000, but the company later matched all additional donations made by its employees. In less than three weeks, the company received $70,000 in employee contributions to its Hunter Douglas Philippines Relief Fund. The company later added an additional $80,000.
