Variable Inc., a Chattanooga, Tenn., company that develops wireless sensing technology, announced July 30 the release of NODE+chroma, a sensor module that reads color information from most surfaces and transmits that information to a mobile device. The company said the product transmits highly accurate color data via Bluetooth 4.0 to iOS smart devices up to 250 feet away.
