DuPont China Holding Co. divests interest in copolymer acetal joint venture

DUPONT China Holding Co. Ltd. announced that it has agreed to a share transfer agreement of its interest in the Asahi-DuPont POM (Zhangjiagang) Co. Ltd. (ADZ) joint venture with Asahi Kasei Chemicals, which began manufacturing acetal (POM) copolymer resins in 2004. DuPont and Asahi Kasei Chemicals will work to receive approvals from the Chinese government and initiate communication with customers on transition plans. This decision is consistent with DuPont's strategy to focus market and development efforts on the high-performance, high-precision POM applications where acetal homopolymer is typically required.
