With this being my final column for the year, it seems fitting that I'm writing it from New York City, long considered "retail Mecca" and the heart of innovation in the industry. It also is appropriate that, in the fourth quarter of yet another turbulent year, we look at four mega trends that all retailers would be wise to pay attention to in the days ahead.
