Gun regulations may be tightening a bit in some parts of the country, but there is no permit required to carry caulk guns in public (like a contractor) or private (like a DIYer). Right now, customers on both sides of the aisle want to get their hands on the easiest, lightest and best products available to them. And caulk-gun manufacturers are listening to their needs as many companies are developing guns specific to a contractor's or DIYer's needs.
