Closing comments

摘要

This symposium, so well organised by Bernard Brabin, commemorates the life and work of Ralph Hendrickse through presentations by previous staff, students and friends. It comprises a variety of outstanding papers, all of which touch on some of Ralph's many research interests. There is a theme relating to past, present and future paediatric research relevant to both low-income and industrialised countries. The symposium was enhanced by the presence of some of Ralph's family. Sadly, Ralph's wife, Begum, died suddenly in December 2009.
