Recent headlines show impending UK skills shortage and opportunities that the issue represents for UK industry. The UK is ambitious to grow the industrial sector - particularly manufacturing - in order to help rebalance the economy. Politicians such as Vince Cable, the Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills, publically supports the sector and works hard with numerous projects and schemes to improve the opportunities for engineers. But there's a big problem, the UK is running out of engineers.
