Wise philosophers of all times and all ages have meditated about the curiously cyclical nature of the world. The cyclical nature of the seasons, the cyclical nature of life and the cyclical rhythm of motions, to name just a few. The cycle always has a beginning and an end. The end then becomes the beginning. These cycles give us hope that there will be the light of an opportunity at the end of the tunnel - the great opportunity that a new beginning offers. It is this repetitive nature of cycles that creates a happy continuum. This powerful image of the cycle gives us logical confidence. Its coherence inspires us and gives us logical equilibrium. This powerful image of the cycle has even epistemologically influenced the stability of cyclical paradigms in science, like the incredible Krebs cycle, the cell cycle, the circadian rhythm, and the many other cyclical models that mesmerize us all. Cycles renew our perceptions and provide us with an opportunity to retain the past in our future path and continue to be a successful continuum.
