摘要

The paper brings partial information on possibilities of simulation computations of castings in sand moulds. Relatively simple methods, which have been elaborated at the Technical University in Liberec, refer to measuring and simulation of solidification and cooling of simple-geometry castings (boards, cylinders) using particular material (of castings and moulds) and give instructions how to ensure necessary thermal-physical characteristics of used materials. At the same time, it shows the way of achieving optimum production conditions and good correspondence of simulation results with the reality with particular castings at the production preparation, i.e. relatively high degree of reliability regarding good quality of the casting already in the first pre-series.
