Integrative oncology has become very popular in cancer treatment: in combination to conventional treatments (surgery, hormone-, chemo-, radiotherapy), patients receive different CAMs (Complementary and Alternative Medicine). Among the types of CAM available, the use of mistletoe is of major importance as its application can extend the life span of cancer patients and particularly increase their quality of life. Our laboratory focuses on the understanding of the cellular and molecular modes of action of mistletoe against in vitro cancer cells.
