St. Louis is a city in the U.S. State of Missouri. The town is known for its French and German heritage and Victorian past and is also a globally known center for research in medicine, biotechnology and other sciences. St. Louis will be the setting for the Society for Biomolccular Sciences 14th Annual Conference & Exhibition. SBS is the place where people come to learn about the latest in target biology, screening strategies, new instrumental ion and technologies, how to navigate and utilise the new technologies and much more. SBS 2008 is the place to be in drug discovery The conference theme is "Enhancing Research Productivity: Quality Tools, Leads & Candidates". The scientific program is also this year very innovative, with technical sessions covering many different disciplines, including both HTS and lead characterisation/optimisation, as well as disease intervention and relevant therapeutic targets-specifically in cancer, inflammation and CNS disorders.
