We read with great interest the letter to the editor entitled "Obstructive sleep apnea and dyslipidernia: importance of the liver axis" [1] in response to our recent paper addressing dyslipidernia in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) [2]. The authors emphasized the importance of the liver axis in the pathogenesis of OSA-induced dys-lipidemia and referenced the theoretical possibility of the liver as a potential target for intervention. We are grateful for their interest in this topic which further underscores its importance.
