Electron acceptors of the fluorene series in photothermoplastic storage media for holography

Photoconductive thin (1.2 #mu#m) poly-N-(2,3-epoxypropyl)carbazole (PEPK) films sensitised by electron acceptors of the fluorene series (2-15w percent) have been used in photothermoplastic storage media (PTSM) for hologram recording in real-time scale. Using acceptors 2 and 3, very efficient PTSM were obtained: wide spectral region of a response (400-800 nm), holographic response S_(#eta#) = 60-120 m~2 J~(-1) (He-Ne laser), diffraction efficiency #eta#_(max) = 20-27 percent for planar light wave holograms, dynamic interval of hologram recording I_(ref)/I_(ob) approx = 10~3-10~4 (without amplification). These PTSM are also suitable for rainbow hologram recording.
