Micromorphology and electrical property of the HCl-doped and DBSA-doped polyanilines

摘要

HCl-doped and DBSA-doped polyanilines were prepared by using solution and emulsion polymerization processes. Micromorphology and electrical property were studied by using scanning electron microscopy as well as by measuring the conductivity at room temperature and the variation of conductivity with temperature in 80280K. The HCl-doped polyanilines consist of granular particles in size of 200-500 nm while the DBSA-doped polyanilines consist of long fibrils in length of 1500-2000 nm and in diameter of 100-200 nm. For the HCl-doped and DBSA-doped polyanilines, the conductivity at room temperature is about 1.1 and 1.2 X 10~(-2) S/cm, respectively. The conductive mechanism can be considered to be three-dimensional variable-range-hopping (3D-VRH) for the HCl-doped polyaniline and one-dimensional variable-range-hopping (ID-VRH) for the DBSA-doped polyaniline.
