We report the effect of UV irradiation on the conducting LB films made of BEDO-TTF and stearic acid. The de electrical resistance of these films increases strongly versus time of irradiation: five orders of magnitude after continuous irradiation for 3 hours. FT-IR spectra also reveal changes from metallic behavior to semiconductive one. X-ray diffraction profile shows a disorder of the film structure. The irreversible transformation of metal to non-metal is due to a loss of the long range order needed liar a metallic conduction in the lint plane.
