摘要

Photonic band structures of three-dimensional double shell type photonic crystals have been studied theoretically. We have performed calculations of band structures of photonic crystals with respect to changes of refractive indices and thickness of shells. Double shell type photonic crystals make magnitudes of band gaps at L point in the Brillouin zone of fcc structures smaller than those at X point larger, contrary to conventional photonic crystals.
