Global Marine Systems, Ltd., the largest independent provider of submarine cable installation, maintenance, and related engineering services in the world, announced the commercial availability of a technology to improve the quality of submarine cable jointing. The Jointing Automated Documentation Environment (JADE) is the first software of its kind to be developed for the submarine cable industry. Jade has been certified by the Universal Joint Consortium (UJC), an industry body that addresses developments in jointing in an effort to constantly and consistently improve the benefits to telecommunications customers.
