The grade-separation overhead bridge by means of the Sui-sui MOP (module on pier) method (temporarily abbreviated as the "MOP method") is composed of the bridge section consisting of steel bridge girders and piers and the approach section consisting of banking. Features of the MOP method include relief from traffic congestion during installation work and, further, a reduction of the construction term by making full use of "module girders," a technology for downsizing bridge girders.
